        1771  & 1774 was in Granville Co. SC - received 100+ acres; 1786 received land Orangeburgh District; 1786-7 referenced in land records; 1789 Winton (Barnwell) County SC mentioned in estate of John Myser.  Barnwell from Orangeburgh. Did he fight in Rev War 1776-7 for Penn?

Deeds of gifts in Laurens & Newberry SC - 1785 Peter Conway of Lancaster sold slaves to Edwin Conway.  1791 Edwin Conway of Newberry, Dist 96, SC gift of slaves to Agatha Conway daughter.  Elbert Co. Georgia, Deed Book B Folio 79 1788 Horatio Marbury of Chatham Co, Ga to Peter Conway of the state of Virginia 1,000 acres in Wilkes county.  Folio 80 1792 Peter Conway of the state of SC to Edwin Conway 1,000 acres on coldwater creek granted 1788 by Horatio Marbury.

        Brig. Gen Robert Conway m (1) Juliana Easton had several daughters & one son - John Baxter Conaway m (2) Susannah Beaty Crowson - no children.  He died 1823.  In 1800 Robert was in Winyaw County, SC.

        Newberry from Dist 96?  Probably since he is referred to in deeds in Newberry as Edwin Conway.  Will Edwin Conway Newberry County Vol 1 1776-1814 C 72 - have copy - proved 1802. Had 2 daughters - mentions Peter Conway being indebted to him.  Had 5,000 ac Washington Co. Ga & 1,000 ac in Wilkes Co. Ga.
