Family tradition is told that JOSIAH & MARTHA's daughter Joannah was suppose to marry a very wealthy man, but on her wedding night she ran off to marry Robert Roebuck. Her father made her sister marry the wealthy man. JOSIAH never approved of Robert and Robert was very bitter about the fact that JOSIAH did not like him. Some years later JOSIAH disinherited them. Robert would not permit Joannah to accept anything when her father died.
